1. There's An Opera "Aida"

It's mostly singing, with some recitative.

but it's a pretty new musical. The music is by Elton John and the lyrics are by Tim Rice.

3. If I remember right,

there are scenes between most of the songs, but the ratio of scene time to song time is very small. It's probably about like "The Phantom of the Opera," if you've ever seen that.

I thought it was good, if that matters. :)
