Why do time stamps on posts appear two hours later than actual time?

At least they do on my machine. I'm talking about the LAST UPDATED DATE category of a thread page.

And I had no idea how to tweak though I visited pref. and options. Am I dense?

1. time zone is first listing in Options n/t

2. Go to edit your preferences

and select your time zone. It's the first option. Then your DU clock will be right for you.
