the man in the wedding pic is my grandfather. He died in 1988. He still looked the same as elderly man.

5. ...

and yes, both are strong women. They had to endure some stuff in their lifes.
The grandma from the second pic lived in Bohemia. They had to flee when the war was over.
The one in the first pic took care of her husband when he had cancer. She had him home till he died. She also lost her father after WW2 when he was taken away by the Russians.

6. I love that picture also
I "borrowed" it from my grandma some years ago (this one and a similar one). I gave it back to her at her b-day. I finally got around scanning it in.
I still have a pic from my mom as a young woman. She wants it back also. Darn. Guess I need to scan that one in too :D

I am doing fine. Looking forward to the weekend.

Spending the day Saturday at the coast, and it's supposed to be cold but sunny, so it ought to be a good day! :loveya:

Isn't it a shame that we tend to forget that our grandparents were once so young and active - and good looking?

30. A truly amazing set of photographs
of undoubtedly amazing women. I marvel at how time records the events of our lives on our faces. I'm old enough now to sometimes get a presentiment of how a young person is likely to look when they have aged or to capture a glimpse of the youth in an elder's face. Thank you for sharing these with us!

be the cover of a book.

Write a book about your grandmas so you can use it. :hi:

35. Great pics MsHC!
Thank you for sharing those! Both of my grandmothers are gone now-- I lost my last one nine years ago this month. She was like a second mother to me, as I spent so much time with her as a child. I was also her first grandchild, and was probably her favorite, too (don't tell my cousins, though )
