Ok - so who else watched the conclusion to the 'God-Warrior' woman

last night? Her children looked terrified (husband as well) when she went on her rant. That woman needs serious psychiatric help!

to be very detached from reality. She is obviously a God loving woman, but she doesn't seem to interact well with humans.

Plus, she appears to have forgotten that Christ was put her to serve, because I sure didn't see her lazy butt doing anything.

for her kids and couldn't understand the relationship that she and her husband have? Why does he stay? Is he just as nuts as she is regarding religion? Does she rule the roost?
Having not seen last week, I didn't have any reference points.

6. Having issues doesn't necessarily make one crazy.

I don't think she's crazy--I think she's manipulative, deeply insecure, ignorant, self-centered and just flat-out mean (and so are her friends). And she probably thinks psychiatry is "dark-sided," so I don't look for her to get help any time soon.

Re last week - she's very domineering ("I'm the queen around here"). Her oldest daughter emulates her in that regard and just runs roughshod over the poor younger daughter.

I thought the meeting between the two mothers was very telling. The mother from Massachusetts was sweet, positive, and began their meeting by attempting to compliment her on what a wonderful family she has. Then Jabba the Fundie starts shouting her down with her "me me me, your family's so mean" bullshit. Bleah.

Going by what we saw of her "church friends" last week, I'd say they're a gossipy, malicious, insecure group who make themselves feel better by attacking others. Pretty sad.

I think (and this may be a liberal trait) we tend to look at people like her as mentally ill because we don't like to assume that someone's just a mean-ass nasty person. But I think this woman's just a sorry excuse for a human being. Mean, vindictive, aggressively ignorant--and I don't think any amount of therapy or medication would help her in that regard. The uber-freeper, if you will.
