3. I'm proud to say
that I have never seen ONE of his movies. I boycotted all of them because I knew he was a Repuke. Same with Stallone - I saw just the original Rocky, and that's it.

5. terminator1 is a masterpiece
Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 12:40 PM by Kamika
It's one of the best movies I've seen, and to think the budget was about 10million , compared to t2 (which was awesome aswell) that had like a 200 million budget.

t3 had even more but sucked.

Predator is great aswell but I actually prefer predator 2.

His other movies are pretty crappy though, altough I used to like Kindergarden cop when I was about 10 years old hehe

Bad movie and they dubbed his voice because of his accent. A must not see!

8. I'm sorry, but Total Recall rocked.
Sometimes, you are in the mood for a silly comedy, sometimes for a heavy drama, and sometimes you want to see an ultra-violent futuristic bloodbath laced with a bit of social commentary and awarness. I first saw it when I was about 13, and it still kicks ass to this day. You can't watch it on network or cable TV, without the gore and profanity and whatnot, it's just not worth it.

Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 12:48 PM by Kamika
I saw uncut Commando when I was like 9-10 years old, (dont blame my parents they didn't know)

And then when I was like 15 I saw it again, running time.. 1 hour 11 minutes LOL'

They had cut EVERYTHING.

Even how the bad guy really dies

11. The last one he's never going to make.
That would be my favorite.

Though I do enjoy Letterman's "Meet the Governor" bits. :D

12. "Dey got you pushen too meeny pencils?"
An equally good thread would be your favorite line of Ah-nuld dialogue. This gem from Predator, combined with "Preety sophistacated fah a bunch of haff-assed mountain boyz, eh Mac?" would be my votes. "It's nottatumor" would be popular too, I assume.

Politics or no, the first two Terminators were great movies, at least up to the line "I needavacashun" in T2, which deteriorated logically and aesthetically from there (the "i can never cry" line and the stupid stupid stooopid thumbs up from the vat). Besides, Cameron was the brain behind both, and he's always seemed at least moderate in his politics, though I have no hard data on that. Only True Lies really seemed like a Repug's wet dream (the 'safe' nuke explosion, Charlton Headstone channeling Nick Fury, etc).

Doesn't the whole point of the Terminator series suggest an anti-war agenda (if you don't count machines killing each other, of course)?

14. True Lies
It's funny. I love the scene where he goes to rescue his daughter from the evil terrorists and she looks up as he is using a plane to rescue her from a skyscraper and says "Daddy!".
Arabs were really pissed off about this movie, because the terrorists were arabs (although so was one of the guys sent to save his kid).

One of the best movies of all time. But what can I say, I'm a sucker for an Arnie movie. Politics aside.

18. "Hercules In Manhattan"
:-)

Co-starring Arnold Stang, with another actor's voice dubbed in for Ah-Nold.

19. Total Recall was a total disappointment
Especially considering that it was based on a book by Philip K. Dick (at least that's what I recall).

20. "Pumping Iron"
I really think this is his best...because it's about HIMSELF.

"Pumping Iron" is the one where he admits that "a good pump is as good as sex". He also talks about not going to his father's funeral because he had to train to compete for some competition.

"Pumping Iron" is a look into how driven (and egocentric) Ah-nuld is.
