38. They're gimmicks on wheels
Other builders do MUCH more creative things with their bikes, like Billy Lane for example. Hubless back wheel, integrated exhaust, etc. OCC guys just slap a corporate logo on a stock frame and call it a work of art.

Firebike being the rare exception.

39. You'd noticed that too eh?
However, with a background that includes a fair amount of TV production, I know that the whole package and concept makes for hellishly cheap TV programming... so no surprise in the format I guess...

Same, same...

40. No dispute but that isn't the point of their work
They're for the corporations who can reach out and have a CREATION done for them that touches their clients, not the hardcore bikers. They filled the niche that the hardcore builders were to egotistical to fill.

The fire bike and POW/MIA bike did it for me, and since then they are my heros. Sorry, I won't argue about them with you. Myself and millions of others enjoy the show and what they do for others.

42. but is it the end result that is the important factor in the programme...
... or the "human" aspect?

As with so many of these formats, often the hook is perceived to be the interaction rather than the final outcome.

Such thinking is oft heard the death-knell of quality TV programming...

And that's all that matters. They've done dozens of corporate bikes that never made any shows, like the SolidWorks bike Pops did;

Valvolene, the tribute bikes to the military and police that were auctioned for the causes, and on and on.

(Paulie isn't a slouch, and inspite of his beard, he's a good lad.)

I am a woman, and I had a bit of a monobrow until I was allowed/knew about waxing/all of that.

It is often confusing to know how much tweezing is necessary. I think that one can know enough that the eye brows shouldn't meet at the center though. My mother told me that I had to pluck my eye brows there. Why shouldn't boys/men be told that?
