My last hedgehog died this morning

Her sister passed away a few weeks ago and now Koko is gone.

My gosh...that face is just about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. What caused you to have the hedgehogs?

4. I've had some for many years

Due to allergies in the household we didn't think we could have a dog so I looked for a critter that didn't have fur. We've had several hedgehogs over the last 8 years or so. Their pretty interesting and actually very affectionate animals. Koko was very calm, never put her quills up.

I am the biggest animal lover and I'd never heard of hedgehogs as pets. Do you adopt them, and are they hard to care for?

Looks like you had two real sweetie pies. I just lost my elderly kitty last week, so it is fresh in my mind how bad it sucks to lose one of your babies :)

8. Sorry to hear about your kitty

I know a few breeders and have been on a hedgehog mail list for a long time. There have been a few shows that I have gone to and met some great people. Hedghogs are meat eaters and are not rodents. They are very different from hamsters and guinea pigs.

Such a sensitive little face and beautiful feet. I've never had a hedgie, but they seem like gentle little creatures with a lot of character.

These little ones wedge themselves into your heart just by being as they are, and it's such a terrible loss when they leave us. I'm still getting over losing our bunny Violet a few weeks ago. :cry:

I hope that Koko finds her sister at the Rainbow Bridge, where they'll be waiting to greet you one day. Take care and be well and remember that they both loved and cared for you as much as you loved and cared for them.
