Especially the part where Rod Parsley started "speaking in tongues" (his style sounds like Afrikaaner to me... I was sort of used to Tilton and "Kodu Basanda!")... then that Mark Chirona guy went all nuts about how Pastor Rod is gonna save America... then Chirona, Paul "I Like Boys" Crouch and some other guy all laid hands on Parsley... to anoint him to run for office to save us and bring us all to Jesus.

Then Parsley started on it about Ohio... and how he got together with the SOS (didn't name Blackwell, just said he was with the SOS)... and how they turned around the African American vote in Ohio by getting them out to the polls to vote on God's side...

No, asshole, it was more like the voting machines being taken OUT of the polls in the AfAm neighborhoods, in conjunction with ES&S screwing with the actual counts.

No mention of Coingate, Noe, or the abysmal opinion of the current Repuke gov. Also no mention of * or the Repukes by name. I guess even their knuckle-draggers might be able to figure out that indictments are NOT a good thing and their G-D just might not like them.

Clear violation of separation of church and state, as if the FCC will do an MF'n thing about it. They've got to twist their panties about less nipple than Beavis sees in a damn music video.

1. Rod Parsley is a disgusting piece of shit.

I was flipping through the channels once and I caught one of his sermons about how "God wants you to be rich!". Over and over he repeated this mantra with his drooling congregation of cheering him on.

He kept bring up the "fact" that Jesus talked about money and wealth more than any subject and how Jesus will one day make his followers wealthy. It made me want to throw up.

He denounced it. He said it would be harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. Does that sound like someone who wants to make his followers rich? :eyes:

3. I was transfixed

for the "speaking in tongues" shit, the laying on of manly hands, and the 60 seconds it took to go around the bend from Parsley babbling crap, to how he's gonna save this country.

I HAD to see if he mentioned Blackwell... he did not disappoint. Looks like he and Kenny are still trying to spread the shit:

Parsley is going to go down faster than Gannon at a tea party, since (1) the wheels are falling off the Repuke car at long last, and indictments being passed all 'round, and (2) the following quote from an article about sleazebags Abramoff and Scanlon made the news, where Scanlon said:

"'The wackos get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees,' Scanlon wrote in the memo, which was read into the public record at a hearing of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee. 'Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote against something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip past them.'"

4. Parsely is a hardcore dominionist-fascist

I caught a couple minutes of his show on Sunday a while back, and the basic gist of his sermon was that he didn't give a shit what the Constitution says, he was going to see to it that God's law (his interpretation, of course) was the law of the land.

And like most of the TBN wackos, the message of his "sermon" on the Sunday before the 2000 election couldn't have been more obvious.... "Vote for our candidate or you will BURN IN HELL!!"

This guy's fucked in the head. And he looks like a professional wrestler in a cheap suit.
