Why is a piece of conceptual art at a children's museum, this reminds me of the Turner Prize winner "shedboatshed".

1. Mr. Kunstler is mistaken.
Fear of litigious people, not fear of lawyers, prompts signs like the one on that website. Just sayin'. (I lovelovelove your username, Bamboo. :hi: )

2. I think it is actually a combination of the two
There are those who are naturally litigious, and would sue at the drop of a hat no matter what. Then you have the "ambulance-chaser" lawyers who hawk their services via tv, the Internet, phone book covers/full-page ads, direct mail, radio ads and the like. These sorts draw in the people who might not normally be litigious, but get it into their head through the power of suggestion.

When I was injured at work earlier this year I submitted a claim through my agency's worker's compensation group. For the next two months I got letter after letter from lawyers offering to represent me in my injury case against my employer. :eyes: If I were the litigious type I might have taken one of them up on it. However I simply put every one of those letters through the shredder.

3. I don't disagree with you that it takes two to tango.
But I also believe that if there were more responsible and caring employers, and better regulation of workplace safety, there'd be fewer injuries, thus less incentive for frivolous litigation and fewer opportunities for greedy attorneys (who are in the minority, I believe) to behave as predators.

6. Your brain is my clay little Johnny.
This piece is better than shedboatshed, there is no longing for the boat while it is a shed but when the sign is in use, children long for the playhouse, this explains the placement.I think shedboatshed would crack up the kids and is wasted on adults.Great abstract architecture at a cost much less than a Gehry.
