I see two hawks (very large) have returned and seem to be eyeing
up my Chihuahua.... I'll need to go out with her now... and stick close while she relieves herself.... I took a couple pics of one sitting atop a power pole... but need to get some double a's to get the pics out of the camera... perhaps will post later but the way the lounge is running... this will be under several pages before I get some batteries... I need an ac adapter for that sucker.... anyone else ever fear that their pets were the target of some predatory birds?? I mean, would they bother with a dog or is this all in my head....

2. Found it.... thanks.

Oh... found this too.... cute.

A woman brought a litter of golden-retriever puppies to the veterinary clinic for inoculations and worming. She loved the puppies so much that she couldn't keep from remarking about their cute habits. As the look-alike pups squirmed over and under one another in their box, the vet realized it would be difficult to tell the treated ones from the rest. He turned on the water faucet, wet his fingers, and moistened each dog's head when he had finished. After the fourth puppy, he noticed his talkative client had grown silent. As he sprinkled the last pup's head, the woman leaned forward and whispered, "I never realized they had to be baptized.

3. Not to worry, those two large hawks who have returned
are just Cheney and Rove, unindicted and back to work. They're eyeing Syria, not your Chihuahua!

Small cats and dogs.

Keep a VERY close eye on the dog when he's outside.

9. I never ever thought about it. One afternoon my son was over
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 02:54 PM by ignatius 2
and we were sitting out back. Chloe,my rat terriro was running around the back yard. My son saw two large hawks and he told me he had seen a clip where a hawk swooped down on a small dog in Central Park and took the dog.

I was shocked and definitely watch closely when they are around. So yes,you should be worried. I was thinking about taking a stick and using it if I have to.

13. I worry about them too with my IG
She's pretty small and I walk her where I have seem some large hawks flying around. I like to let her run but feel I need to keep her close to be safe.

14. yes i worry about that with the min-pin
always keep a close eye on him when he's out, and of course he's on the leash so that would make a very strange scene if a hawk, an owl, or a very large sparrow ;) swooped down and grabbed him.
