Wooooohoooo! I PASSED THE DRUG TEST!

I just want to thank Commie Pinko Dirtbag for helping me pass my drug test this past Wed. The employer called me on Friday and said that I passed the background check AND the drug test!!! Thank you so much Commie Pinko Dirtbag! I couldn't have done this without you.

I can't find my original thread but thanks also to other DUers who responded and provide suggestions! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

1. Did You Find Out What They Were Testing FOR?

Could it be that they were looking for something OTHER than what you feared they might discover?

2. hm, good question, employers here don't always test a full panel...

3. I've done some work in this area

and without getting into too many details a surprising number of companies don't test for :smoke: especially for a pre-employment test. Of those who do many don't use the more sensitive tests.

Now two pieces of further advice:

1) Don't EVER EVER EVER let ANYTHING out at DU that might help figure out your real identity! Believe me, there ARE people that may take the time to mine information in order to kick you out of the job! This has happened to DUers already!

2) Stay OUT of the stuff until you're sure they don't do random testing, willya?

Lost a job because of a random drug test.....they called me off the line to take the test because the bosses thought I was straight as an arrow and would easily pass. They were shocked when I quit before taking the test.

The boss asked me "why the heck didn't you tell us you smoked herb?". I said "you never asked". They were really upset to lose the fastest guy on the line, but that is the price industry pays for targeting potheads. Strangely enough, half of the floor were potheads, so the bosses deliberately targeted the non-potheads for the random tests to make the owners and the insurance company happy.

I don't drink, and I think that why I was pulled off the line for that test. It is good to know that my disguise works, but it sucked losing that job.

I am so sorry about that. I too don't drink. It really pisses me off that people can go out and drink and get blasted and might kill someone out in the streets, yet alcohol is legal. I only smoke in the evenings to wind me down. I don't go to work the next morning with a hangover from pot! So sorry about your situation.. ((hug))

I quit smoking as soon as I found out that I was getting tested. I had smoked on a Monday night and was tested on friggin Wed!
