A note from my daughter--who's cat died this morning
Thanks for all your kind words. Here's her response:

this is bifs daughter. when my dad told me the news i was devestated. not only did i love my cat but i was the only one he found a place to cuddle or a leg to rub against. when i found out what happened i felt like there was a big empty space in me; just like the empty space in the corner of the dining room where he used to sleep or the green couch, or the bush in the front yard where he used to glare at everything going by, and most of all, the empty space in my lap and in my arms. he wasn't pretty, he wasn't skinny, and his fur wasn't soft, but we all loved him and we are glad he is resting peacefully by the pond where he can sit by the fish and the birds and the squirrels all day long.

Losing a little one is hard. You wrote a beautiful tribute to him. Just know that your love and care for him filled his world while he was here. You made him happy.
