The empty block immediately to the east of Daley Plaza (Block 37 as it's called) is turned into a Winter Wonderland every Christmas shopping season. I swear, an entire Bavarian village is dismanted, imported here and erected in the heart of Chicago every year, including the inhabitants.

It's actually kinda cool. I get a lot of my shopping done there.

4. Pumpkin Plaza is back

I went to the opening of Pumpkin Plaza a few year's back with my son's class. The mayor of Chicago ceremoniously opened it and handed the 'keys' over to the 'mayor' of Pumpkin Plaza, a costumed member of the Midnight Circus, which performed daily while it was open.

I see they are setting up the Midnight Circus' infrastructure (see that high bar to the right) so it looks like they'll be back.
