It is a prize you may have to be dead lucky to win.
It is also a prize which can only be used after you die.
The Mexican Restaurant in Auckland is offering diners a chance to win a free funeral worth $5000 to celebrate the Mexican tradition, the Day of the Dead.
Under the rules of the competition entrants must be alive to win, be human and not a pet, they must be buried or cremated in New Zealand and the prize must be collected within 100 years.
In spite of its morbid name, The Day of the Dead is a joyful Mexican tradition on November 2 when Mexican people visit their dead to celebrate their lives rather than fearing bad spirits.
It is thought to be at least 3000 years old.
