the liberal song...
in spenard...
and in juneau...
pretty mediocre production quality...but i like my guitar work on all three and the vocals on i'm a liberal are sort of ambitious for me...
in spenard is about a whorehouse that was raided here in anchorage...the rolodex was said to contain the names of many a town leader and shaker...of course the rolodex is held under lock and key somewhere...
in juneau is about two republican politicians that got drunk and and then got into a fight and had the police called on them...made the 6 o'clock news...i won a statewide award for that one....
the liberal song is a controversial song...it is about my feelingsabout being a liberal and how i react to republican critisism....i guess it's kind of an in your face kinda thing...very ironic...i really embrace all the things that repugs say are bad about democrats...

"I'm a liberal"is my favorite because of the background vocals and the humming...
"in juneau" and "in spenard (the chateau)"were both sung in a lower register and lack the punch of "liberal"...
although i did win the "uniquely alaskan" award from the alaskan broadcasters in the statewide competition...for "in juneau"...it's really just a riff on "downtown" by petula clark...

I'm a liberal is coming in at #23 on the political parodies chart...
i was gonna post some covers...but i just looked at the rules and you have to pay ascap if you want to post cover songs...sigh...
so i guess i will just have to work up some more originals...
