Any post card collectors in the Lounge?
I was looking over a collection I have of 1940s linen post cards and I realized that I have a folder of post cards from that era that are all of New Orleans.

One of the ones of Canal Street refers to that throughfare as "recently completed" There are cars of the French Quarter, the Jung Hotel, the Garden District, the Port, et al. All in mint condition,

1. Not anything SUPER valuable...
but I enjoy finding the locales where my ancestors lived, and making scrapbook pages that include the postcards, either the actual physical ones, or scanning them onto cardstock or vellum and using it in the design.

I stopped at a little town on the way from Madison to St. Paul over the summer, and spent $60 on postcards at a little antique store. And a bit more on Ebay a few weeks ago!

2. I really like cards from this era
Some cards CAN be valuable - not that I have any of those. I had forgeten that I had these and I just happened to pick up the folder and found it interesting in light of recent events.
