3. Do I have the video for you.
EVERY OS SUCKS

And use whatever OS you want, as long as it gets the job done.

6. I'm puzzled
I've never had any of the problems mentioned, and I've been using Macs since 1986.

7. Don't worry Lydia...
it's just blatant ignorance weakly disguised as "humour".

What was your first Mac? Back in Canada I still have a Mac Plus. :D

9. Well, I was using the one at work (college campus)
until I left academia. My first Mac was---I forget the name of the model, but it was the one nicknamed "the pizza box" because the CPU was so flat.

12. Since 1989
First Mac was an SE/30. My sister's kids are still playing games on it, and it's 14 years old now.

No problems here.

Of course, having the world's best and most stable computing platform helps. And deigning to help the rest of the heathens by designing the world's best MP3 player as well, even for them. And of course, having the world's best online Music store. Oh, I could go on and on, but of course this is a Mac-bashing thread.

Oh, well.

8. Wha?
I've been using Macs since 1992, and I haven't had any of those problems.

I guess it's a Gates-funded spoof. The nerdy repig was the first tip-off.

10. LOL, ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
So true, so true!

Okay, OS X might be a bit better but from my experiences with Macs (and I've multiple certifications and can even find my way around in Linux), pre OS X versions made Win95 seem as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar... :eyes:

13. Then clearly you never learned how to use a Mac properly. Or....
The Macs you have used were set-up incorrectly. Were they by any chance in school labs?
I've used my G3 since 1997, with OS 8.6. Never crashed once. Whereas installing WindowsXP on my friends notebook last week was about as much fun as a visit to the dentist (I'd love to say proctologist, but I've never been to the proctologist, knock wood). That's not to say I don't like Windows, I also use a Win2K box which has never crashed once (although it didn't like me installing WinXP on another partition, until I figured out that XP has to come first in the boot sector).

In general I find Macs to be way more stable. YMMV. I'm certainly not gonna "playa-hate" on someone for using a different OS though.

Really though, to say that one OS is better than another is really silly (unless you're talking about ME, I think everyone can agree that was really a big flaming pile of poo). If you are comfortable using Linux, OS X, Windows, BSD, BeOS, some other variant of *nix, and you get the work done that you need to, then power to you. :)
