Should my cousin come to the US for grad school?
She is debating it now. She's 24 years old, single (just dumped her boyfriend) and has an accounting degree. She has a good job working for a US company in Shanghai now, but who knows what will happen with her company? Wal-Mart could put them out of business tomorrow if they wanted.

She is very intelligent and her English is pretty good, though it definitely needs improvement. I think she is at least going to take the TOEFL test, but she is still unsure. My wife thinks she would also have no problem meeting guys in the US.

Any input I could give on my end? I honestly think it will help her in the long run, but traveling across the world is a huge step.

1. Why not
I would do it if I had the chance (actually I did - half a year internship)

2. it is a big step to take
I mean, if she came to school on the East Coast, it is what, like 8,000 miles from Shanghai... can't just hop in the car & drive home on the weekend if you're homesick. Can't run home to have Mom do the laundry (well, my cousin is from Shanghai where the men supposedly do all the housework... so, she may be in trouble coming to the US)
