Question about roses....
It's the Mrs. and I's 7th wedding anniversary today (awwwww) and I just bought her a nice dozen of roses.
Do I need to clip them or something before I toss them in a jug of whater?

2. I usually snip the ends off the stem while holding it under
water. I cut on an angle too. I don't know why I do this, I think someone told me that years ago LOL
I also put an aspirin in the water, again .. I dunno why .. but my roses last a LONG time.

Congrats on 7 years!!!!

4. Take one and put it on your lapel
I have heard that traditionally odd numbers of flowers indicate celebration while even numbers are more appropriate for mourning. So with one on your lapel, you'll be giving a proper 11

I appreciate it....maybe I will do what my kid said...take one and put it in my teeth and ask her if, "Lay on the bed and aske her if she wants to talk" His words, not mine! :silly:

7. Even numbers in an anniversary bouquet are a bad omen
pin that flower on a shirt!

5. Happy Anniversary!
And auntAgonist is right. I've gotten the same advice from 2 florists. Never heard of the aspirin treatment though. I'll have to try that next time.
