My dad's cancer surgery

I posted last night about my dad having skin cancer surgery today. Many thanks for the support and good wishes I received from so many of you.

I have an update that I thought I'd pass along:

He's now had the first, and hopefully last, part of the surgery. They removed what they could find about an hour and a half ago and have sent it out for tests. In an hour or so, we'll know if they got everything. If they did, he's finished and free to go home. If they didn't, then he has to go right back and they'll keep working until they are satisfied that it's all gone.
