Some people are just dumber than day-old toast.
:banghead:

Seriously, to be a Bush apologist I really think you'd have to have clinical, observable brain damage. Dark spots on the MRI. Crust on the ends of the dendrites. How do these people even manage to pour themselves a bowl of Corn Flakes in the morning? They truly are damaged.

1. I had to listen to this douche-bag at work last night.
"It's the fault of all the unions in NO." :wtf: :banghead:

Of course, if I were to say, "Have you ever expanded your horizons beyond Rush and O'Reilly's talking points?", I'd be the jerk.

People. Are. Fucking. Stupid.

2. Are you serious?
Some dumbfuck actually tried to say it was union labor's fault that Bush played guitar while New Orleans drowned?

3. Actually, the douche-bag is half-right.
It's actually civil unions that are to blame. We've angered God, and vengeance is his.

I suspect the douche-bag at work hasn't been laid in about 15 years...

8. I know! We've been trying for DAYS to convince some relatives that yes,
it is OK to question and (hold on to your hats) condemn Bush for what happened. The world will keep on a-spinnin' if I demand answers from our fearless "leader."

We keep getting these lines of "reasoning":

"they've known about this problem since the 60's"
(Oh really? Gee, I count a few of those years with one George W. at the helm--apparently it's OK that he ignored the problem too. That's called good leadership.)

and

"I wish these people would stop blaming the president for every damn thing that goes wrong."
(Remind me again, exactly where the buck stops? Oh, that's right, y'all have a woody for personal responsibility except in cases where it's your own. Gotcha.)

and the inevitable:

"Those people should have left. What do you expect--they didn't listen and now they're begging for welfare. Spare me."

(Ummm...no, but then you have two cars and good credit you bastards. Plus, fuck off.)

Let me tell you, I have been polite and held my tongue for nearly 5 years at holidays with these people (they aren't my relatives, thank god, and I didn't want to stir up trouble in someone else's home), but it is ON now. Thanksgiving 2005=Jane's righteous smackdown of selfish idiots.
