Is there some medical condition that makes you smell pancakes?
Either my neighbour is on pancake diet - - or my brain is playing tricks on me. Who eats pancakes for every meal for days?

I hate normal pancakes but buckwheat cakes... that's a different story. This thread is making me hungry, or maybe it's that I haven't eaten.

30. Another lame joke from gmoney...
"Log Cabin" is a brand of pancake syrup, at least here in the states...
"Cabin Fever" is a term for anxiety brought upon by spending long periods indoors, as one might be when snowed into a cabin for weeks at a time...

Oh forget it. Here's something to change the subject:

I have a friend who knows she's about to have an attack when she smells burnt toast. Either that, or maybe your neighbour is moving and doesn't want to chuck out the pancake mix...

40. I can always diagnose a sinus infection if I smell daffodils unless
I'm actually holding or standing near some real daffodils. Honestly, I smell daffodils every time I get a sinus infection. I have one now. I don't mind it so much except for the headaches. The other symptoms are sort of offset by the smell of my favorite flower.

I have also heard that you can get cravings for certain nutrients (I'm not a health savvy person, so I don't know which ones) and you will smell food that has ingredients with those nurtrients. That's sort of an old wives tale, but probably is more valid than many would believe. I crave and smell steak when my iron gets low. I craved fruits when my potassium was low.

Its used as a flavoring, can also increase milk supply in lactating mothers. I took it when working and pumping and always smelled like syrup-my sweat, my pee, you get the picture.

Is your neighbor lactating?
