I have to get the kids up in an hour
Once they are on the bus, I just might sleep.

1. Trade? I've got to get my daughter up right now for school and then
I have to be on the road by 7 AM. Sigh... :hi:

2. Well, it's 5 AM here and I haven't slept
I was mopping the kitchen floor at 4 AM.

3. Oh now that's funny. I just dumped the bucket of floor water out.
I just finished the kitchen floor. :hi:

4. LOL
I'm assuming that you've had sleep, though. I've been looking at the floor for days thinking "That floor really needs to be mopped." Just never could bring myself to do it. I finally figured at 4 AM, since I was up, I might as well use that energy for something productive. I know I'll sleep pretty much the entire time the kids are at school, and my husband is due to get back into town in the early evening. I wanted the floor clean before he got home, so I basically had to do it then, or it would stay funky.

Sleep is a luxury these days.

5. Well, one just woke up on his own
He went to the bathroom, and I think went back to bed.

7. When I was a kid going to school, I NEVER got up on my own....
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 05:25 AM by Robeson
...and I bitched and screamed when my mom made me get up! When she sent me to the bathroom to clean up for school, I'd lay right back down in front of the warm heater in the bathroom and go right back to sleep. I guess I was impossible.

6. I woke up almost two hours too early yesterday afternoon
Normally I'd be getting off at 7am today and be able to go home to bed but noooooo, I have a stupid training (on a Friday no less). Now I have to hang around here until 9:30am (no use driving 20 miles home just to turn around and drive 20 miles back). Then I sit in the training for 3 hours and go home to sleep. Then I have a few precious hours to cram in "me time" before I'm due at my weekend job at 10pm.

8. Well, I've been looking for a job for a few months now
With no luck. So, my sleep schedule is pretty fried. It hasn't been THIS bad in a while though!

12. I guess I should be glad for some things then
I'd hate to be looking for work in the current job market. I don't love my jobs, but at least I have them.

Good luck on the searching. :-)

13. Thanks...I need all the luck I can get
I haven't had a bite. I got a letter yesterday telling me that a position I'd applied for had been filled. I call temp agencies daily. I don't understand.

9. Dang, I just did the math
I'm not even going to have "me time" unless I count a quick shower and change of clothes as "me time". WTF?

11. I went years without "me time"
That sucked. I have learned that I must make time for this or I will go insane.
