What is it 'moron' or 'moran',
can somebody enlighten me about that, what is the correct spelling??? Sorry but English is not my native tongue.

3. Moron is the correct word, but at DU we use it as an inside joke.
Someone will be along with the picture, but basically it's because of a conservative who got a black marker out and painstakingly spelled "Get a brain! Morans". So deliciously ironic...

advising anti-war protesters to "get a brain Moran's" we've facetiously referred to ignorant bullying types as "Moran's" ever since.

7. morAn is an old joke here
from the picture of a freeper counter-demonstrating with s sign that read "Get a Clue Morans!".

In this context, I prefer to capitalize the "A" to flag the deliberate mis-spelling (morAns).
