NAME THE KITTY - suggestions wanted

I brought home a kitten from work -- she's part of the feral colony of cats living in the shipping/receiving yard

she has an upper respiratory infection and is now on medication for it. (we have a follow-up vet appointment this week)

The intention was to get her healthy and then find a home for her. Well, she found a home - ours....

she's about 9-10 weeks old, tortise shell female and quite content to be picked-up and cuddled. (pics will follow when I get them preped for the computer)

Now she needs a name. I was calling her Bettie Davis because when I first found her - she was hissing and spitting, then came up to me and rubbed my hand. BUT my partner doesn't like giving animals "people names". We tried "shortening" the name to BD or Bee-Dee - but it doesn't fit

Her ownly "unusual" physical characteristic is a small tannish color tip on the end of her tail -- but q-tip or tippy for a name didn't appeal to us

our other cats are named: Kudra, Dutchess, Pookah and Gato

any suggestions?

4. or just call her Baby, until she names herself..then add it to

"baby"..eventually drop baby.. We often let our kitties name themselves., We never changed Mommie's name though.. it still suits her:)

But if your SO doesn't like "people names" then I just can't help. All my critters have such names. I even have a fish named Merle. ;)

14. I had a tri-color kitty as a child. Her name was Calico.

BTW, I didn't name her, but it suited her for her entire long life. Kudos to you and the best of luck with your little baby. IMHO, kittens are the cutest baby animals. I'm looking forward to seeing your pix!:hi:
