Poll question: I'm knitting gloves and I ran out of red. What should I do?
Knitting some gloves for my son in yellow, red, and burgundy red. I ran out of the burgundy red yarn halfway through the second glove. What should I do?

1. I say ask the kid,
but since you're midway through the second glove I would just go get the matching yarn anyway to spare him the wrath of his peers at school. Kids can be cruel over the stupidest stuff.

2. Keep in mind that depending on where and when
you bought the yarn in the first place, you may not be able to get a color match. Good luck.

3. Thanks for the advice
A color match isn't so important; I'm just improving a pair of gloves from yarn ends.

My son is four. At his age, two slightly different gloves might be considered cool by his classmates. He just gave me the green light to use purple instead of burgundy, anyway.
