Here's a little inside story about Clint Black aka shitkicker
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 01:56 PM by noahmijo
I wasn't going to say tell this story but you know what after shitkicker's recent actions I want to throw just a little jab at the punk.

This was about 5 years ago so I don't remember every little detail. My father after he retired took a job with AA as one of the ticket bookers. Clint Black was on the line demanding to know why he couldn't get a first class seat on some flight. The issue was the flight's first class vacancies were full and if he wanted first class he was going to have to choose another flight.

Shitkicker then started to say in a threatening sort of fashion "Don't you now who I am?"

My dad who is not very knowledgable of current music (much less country) said "No sorry I don't"

Shitkicker says "I'm Clint Black I'm a famous musician! I tour around the country!"

Dad said "Well even if you were Gershwin I'd be telling you that you have to choose another flight if you want first class"

Shitkicker "Who the goddamn is that??"

Dad: "You said you're a musician you don't know who Gershwin is?"

Shitkicker "Man I don't give a fuck who Gershan is you put me on with your goddamn manager"

Dad: "Hey I don't have to listen to this shit especially from some ignorant yahoo who calls himself a famous musician yet is clearly not a real musician goodbye"

Ya know my dad's a Republican (He did vote for Kerry though) and we disagree alot on some things but damn I still to this day am proud of him for that moment.

Oh and by the way Clint Black if you're reading this just remember the little black dots with the straight lines those are quarter notes and while you're at it you really should learn what 4/4 means since you are a famous musician and all.......

5. Well I won't say where but he currently is a detective
He retired a federal agent. After he retired he just wanted to see what it was like to work a handful of joe jobs I suspect.

Anyways if Clint Black wanted a piece of us I can say without argument our guns are bigger than his (someday I'll shock DU and post pictures of all the weapons we've collected using my father's ffl liscence)

And I hate the NRA I just want to get that out. :)

7. Oh I didn't know sorry
LoL I SERIOUSLY am completely unfamiliar with anything that pos does.

I listen to virtually everything even worldly music but I could just never even listen to country even for a couple minutes. That's just me.

8. Haha, totally understandable
But I have a sort of masochistic tendency to check out all the craptacular pro-war garbage I come across.

"Iraq and Roll" by Clint Black

You can wave your signs and protest
against America taking a stand,
the stands America's taking
are the reason that you can.
If everyone would go for peace
there'd be no need for war.
But we can't ignore the devil,
he'll keep coming back for more.
Some see this in black and white,
others only gray.
We're not begging for a fight,
no matter what they say.
We have the resolution
that should put 'em all to shame.
It's a different kind of deadline
when I'm called in the game.
Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll,
I'm back and I'm a hi-tech GI Joe.
I pray for peace, prepare for war
and I never will forget ~
there's no price too high for freedom
so be careful where you tread.
This terror isn't man to man,
they can be no more than cowards.
If they won't show us their weapons
we might have to show them ours.
Now it might be a smart bomb,
they find stupid people too.
If you stand with the likes of Saddam,
well, one might just find you.
Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll,
I'm back and I'm a hi-tech GI Joe.
I got infrared, I got GPS,
I got that good old fashioned lead.
No price too high for freedom,
so be careful where you tread.
Now you can come along
or you can stay behind
or you can get out of the way.
But our troops take out the garbage
for the good old USA.
Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll.
for the USA.

14. Just reading these lyrics makes my brain shrink...

What a fecking moron. Go sign up, if you've got a G.I. Boner, Clint.

Why is it that country stars equate singing macho bullshit safely in a studio somewhere with 'supporting the troops'?

Here's one that I heard, that makes my jaw drop:

I never thought that this is where I'd settle down.
I thought I'd die an old man back in my hometown.
They gave me this plot of land,
Me and some other men, for a job well done.

There's a big White House sits on a hill just up the road.
The man inside, he cried the day they brought me home.
They folded up a flag and told my Mom and Dad:
"We're proud of your son."

And I'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of property.
I'm on sacred ground and I'm in the best of company.
I'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've done.
I can rest in peace;
I'm one of the chosen ones:
I made it to Arlington.

First off, the assmonkey in charge cries for NOBODY. Second, does this pinhead (Trace Adkins) think that those souls buried at Arlington would rather be there, or alive and above ground, still?

10. The "Freedom Walk"
Oh sure to the non observer it seems like a legit nice thing to do but knowing his stance on the Iraq War and his ultra right wing beliefs it's easy to see that this so called freedom walk is just a way to continue drumming for the war.

13. Yea I mean it's one thing to have never heard of Gershwin
If you're not a music fan or even just a casual MTV sort of fan or you hate classical even.

But you don't call yourself a famous musician without knowing some of the most famous names in ALL styles of music.
