A Norwegian infestation on the DU Lounge
Geez, a relatively new poster asked ages here, identified him or herself as of Norwegian descent, and we came out of the woodwork! Good heavens. It's almost the holidays. Get the lutefisk soaking in the tub, stuff the potato sausage and put the herring on the hardtack. And, for those of you politically inclined, I'm tired of dese here United States - I tink I go home to Minnesooota.

10. So anyway, Ole wants to buy a used car...
and he takes it for a spin.

He stops at his buddy Lars' place to help check it out.

"Lars," Ole says, "I need you to stand behind da car and tell me if da blinkers work, OK?"

"Ya, OK, Ole" says Lars. Then, "Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes..."

14. We are shtarting to look alike, yah sure!
Great minds think alike. And, only us Swedes (half Norwegian, again, here, too) would think of 11 year old girls with a head full of candles as a holiday symbol. (My daughter did it every year).

My great-grandmother was from a village smack on the border of Norway and Sweden. My great-grandfather's parents were from Norway, and immigrated to Pestigo, WI.
