13. Oh I gotcha now.
I stayed married another day!

We've been together 15 years this month. I told him, "that's too damn long, I'm tradin' you in!" but he didn't believe me. He just laughed and I thanked him for not eating all of the Pepperidge Farm cookies.

Marriage is weird, to say the least.

So 1990, huh? Great year.

Yikes, a total hysterectomy. Recently? Because if so, I'm sending Mrs.bearfan a few healing vibes.

I'm on Mr. Bouncy's good side: I made him coffee this morning. :-)

Oh, uh, better luck tonight maybe.

15. I've told my husband
I love him, that he's incredibly handsome, that he does wonderful things (I'll leave WHAT to your imagination). And guess what? If our lesbian friends decide to get married, we'll go to the wedding and toast their happiness, and applaud them showing the true meaning of marriage-a loving commitment between two people.

50. I'll second that.
wonderful, loving husband of almost 20 years. And we not only toasted their happiness but sang a duet at their wedding, at their request, Come, Grow Old with Me. They asked not cuz we're great singers, but because of their respect for our marriage. And my daughter's boyfriend accompanied on guitar. I think I've done my part for the sancitity of marriage. *smug satisfaction*

38. Married 12 years...
And I didn't try to link my marraige with other, unrelated things.

Like Gay Marraige. If Joe and Bob down the street decide to get married, it doesn't hurt my marraige. It's unrelated.

What is with the Republicans and linking unrelated things?
War on Terror/Iraq. They have nothing to do with each other.

Sanctity of Marraige/Gay Marraige. Again, nothing.

Energy Independence/Alaska Wildlife Refuge. Nada.

I could go on... but maybe I better start my own thread.

40. I mocked a conservative friend
Whose parents will be celebrating their 40th anniversary telling him, "Congrats to your parents surviving 40 years. You don’t normally see that kind of commitment to traditional marriage and family values in republicans… You know, they normally divorce – sometimes multiple times – like Reagan, Dole, Gingrich, Randall Terry, Limbaugh, Giuliani, Dick Armey, George Will, Bob Barr, Chenoweth, etc. Tell them I said good job in not being like most republicans."
