I was one of the founding members of the DLC here in Ohio....

Boy, did I wise up fast.....

You see, I am an accountant and there is this little part of the accountants code that says to always err on the side of conservatism, being careful, not the ideology.

Now, I was all worked up about the tax code back in 1992-93 when Clinton was trying hard to add a little progressively back into the mix...

So, that is what attracted me....

When I got there and realized they wanted to stress fiscal policy over everything else, I simply said, why be a republican light...

True story. During our first organizational meeting, we invited the guy who set up the public rip off I mean financing of Jacobs field and Gund Arena (where the cavs and the Indians Play). So we reached out to all the interest groups in Cleveland and an invitation went out to Normal. So this guy gets up and starts going ranting, he was ranting, about how the democratic party wasn't pushing for the legalization of Pot, he said Pot....

So there is this corporate jockey standing in front of about fifty people trying to deal with a Normal dude all worked up over legalization of pot...

Pretty funny stuff cause we just let the thing play out....
