I Think Coca-Cola From Glass Bottles Tastes BETTER...
... than Coca-Cola from plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Is it my imagination? Is there a placebo-effect playing tricks on my tastebuds?

Here in Maryland, it's so darn difficult to find it sold in anything other than plastic bottles and aluminum cans. (Occasionally I'll see the "commemorative" glass bottles of Coca-Cola, but at $4.50 for a 6-pack... it's not something I want to treat myself to very often.)

it's not your imagination - there's some sort of chemical reaction thing (that I cannot explain)

4. I don't think it's your imagination...
you should also try Kosher Coke (it'll say so on the label). It's made the old fashion way with cane sugar, not corn syrup. Ice cold out of the 10 oz glass bottles. YUM! It's the way God intended us to drink a Coke.

10. Regular Coke isn't kosher for Passover...
it is the rest of the time, though (it's because of the high-fructose corn syrup...corn isn't kosher during Passover).

I like Fountain Coke better than any of the prepackaged Cokes.
The McDs in Towson has the best, for some reason.

16. Fountain soda is the best
then out of can
then out of the plastic bottles.

There is a taste difference between all three and I am not crazy :)

25. There is a difference in all three
and can't put my finger on it, but there is. I prefer them in this order best first: fountain, can, plastic bottle. It's been so long since I've had Coke in a glass bottle that I can't remember how it tastes. But I know IBC rootbeer comes in glass bottles and thats good stuff!

12. They may have it at Target or Kroger if you've either in your area.
If you can find it, you should try their ginger ale, too (made with REAL ginger).

And here's a place that'll ship it by the case: http://www.beveragesdirect.com/products/red_rock_cola/

now that I've seen a photo of the label, I'll be less likely to overlook it or assume that it's some cheap-quality fizzy brown water.

Thanks!

19. thats because it doesn't have... 2-butoxyethanol in it.. see Links>
http://www.valdezlink.com/hi.htm click> on the links at the bottom, brown and blue

http://hpd.nlm.nih.gov/index.htm ..and type 'in 2butoxyethonal'

this stuff is everywhere, Windex "glass plus" is 20 to 30% !! OSHA would close down a commercial operation for that.. but it is your home and you choose to use it.

this is BAD SHIT.. it can make you very sick and you can die from this stuff.

pretty much anything that says lifts grease.. if you touch it or god forbid you breath the mist From a sprayer.

I saw warnings on Greased-Lighening product that said wear rubber gloves and vapor mask, and to place any "Contaminated" clothing in a plastic bag and place in outside trash receptacle.

do you know what a "Vapor" mask is..??!! activated carbon mask, i have one and it cost $40 and it is a cheap one

we are being poisoned for Corporate Profit.. and who lets them do that..??

32. No they didn't, it is in the plastic lining in many of the cans used today.
foreign cans may not have the same controls as our country.. and there is no money for testing.. there are rich republicans tat need that money.

The crux of the story is that this crap is everywhere and it all adds up.. wash you dishes, clean your windows(Glass plus), clean the counter(409) click the home tab on the search list on the gov link

there are a lot of autoimmune diseases around that have no know cause..
but they do have a cause somewhere, maybe not enough anywhere in one place.. but a collection of places.. I used to do research in Pesticides.. I took 'No Pest Strips' and another one(used in most agricultural crops) off the market...off the market.. ...

Your'e welcome..

I miss the Oberweis dairy stores in Chicago that sold their milk in glass bottles. Tastes better and since they reuse the glass it's more environmentally friendly.

42. baby icebergs: the original "Slushy"!! My mom used to take
those little 6 oz or 8 oz cokes and put them in the freezer, for just enough time that it would still LOOK liquid when you took it out but when you opened it, it would slush from the top down. Man that is some good stuff.

We can get Mexican cokes down here too. I don't drink much soda of any kind, but it definitely does taste better in a glass bottle.

41. The taste IS different
however, and I know people will light me up for this--I CANNOT stand Coke out of glass. Aluminum is best, then plastic  I don't get it either.

And Cola is the only substance I feel this sway about, beer--I am all about the glass, any other soda pop--all about the glass. Just straight unahulterated cola makes me "unhappy."

43. You are ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY correct
ALL liquids, as far as I am concerned, taste better from glass.

I think that if soda still came in glass bottles, I'd still be drinking it.

Goddamn, there was nothing better than bottled soda from the fridge, poured into a glass cup filled with ice.

Sonofabitch, I miss those days.
