You know, like scratching yourself with the headphone jack?

5. Actually the cargo flies higher class than the people.
The cargo is strapped down. The humans get a strap to grab onto. Or at least that's what I remember from my air show days.

8. One of of my most memorable flights was the one on the C-130...
I laid back up by the left wing and got a nice vibrating massage all the way down to the Philippines.

By the time we landed at Clark, I was feeling no pain.

12. All too familiar with the CF-130...

But I'd rather one of those then one of these:

(care to guess, Mr. Scorpio?)

Looked inside a CF/A-18 once, during a local air show.

13. haha
I LOVE SOUTHWEST

The flight attendants are so strange... flight attendants who weren't enthusiastic enough to be on another airline. For example, on my last flight back from DC... "Please turn off all electronic devices, including cell phones. If you have an airplane switch on your cellphone, you must feel really special! Congratulations! But we don't really care, so turn it off anyway."... "Ladies and Gentlemen, our snack truck didn't deliver the snacks for this flight on time, so we're only going to be doing beverage service today. I know you guys are TERRIBLY disappointed I'm not offering nuts, but that's just how it is."

15. Yeah, the flight attendants make up for it a little.
But I like having an assigned seat. :)

18. I'd Rather Walk!
I loathe Southwest - the filthy plans, the surly 'service,' and making the flight look on-time by changing the arrival time. But other than that they're okay.

19. I fly them sometimes. They have an inexpensive non-stop to DC.
Well, Baltimore, but close enough. That's just too inexpensive and convenient to pass up.

But yeah...they are not my favorite.

20. If you're ever in Canada, fly WestJet.
The FAs are totally fun... they do stuff like sing the lifejacket/emergency exit drill, and tell jokes on the intercom.

And the last time I flew, I was reading "Dude, Where's My Country?", when it first came out, and all the cabin crew raved about Michael Moore, made fun of Bush, and borrowed my book to read throughout the flight.

21. Are they intra-Canada or do they fly to the states?
Southwest FAs used to be able to have more fun, but I think the FAA disallowed fun or something.

24. They mostly service Canada west of Toronto, but I think they...
service SeaTac, LAX, Alaska, and maybe Chicago.

23. I Like(d) America West
when I was flying from KC to CA every 6 weeks. I didn't mind changing planes (especially since I could smoke at Sky Harbor). Service was great, it was cheap and on-time and the had a nice bag breakfast or lunch.

26. Just bring a kid with you
borrow one if you have to, 'cause then you get to board right after the disabled people and before everybody else. (Before the life as we know it is over if I'm inconveinenced by a child people throw a fit, it's because installing a carseat on an airplane is a pain in the ass, enough that you have to get a headstart if the plane is to leave ontime and boarding people with kids first decreases the liklihood you'll be brained by thirty pounds of unwieldly safety gear as I squeeze the seat down the aisle. Also kids can't sit in some rows, so seating them first avoids making people move later.)

28. It's weird, I'm ALWAYS in the A line for Southwest!
I don't have any disabilities, I'm not old, I don't have kids... I don't really understand how it works, but I'm not complaining.

22. I got more than a bag of peanuts out of the deal
It was before anyone mentioned the mile high club. We had a three hour flight and the couple across the row from us had sex the whole time. The Stewardesses noticed but didn't say a word. I will never forget it.
