What are some things you don't remember?
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 02:33 AM by yvr girl
Generally speaking, I don't remember when people die. I think I was 15 when my brother died. My grandmother passed away in the mid to late 80s. You'd think I would be able to come up with something closer. I do know that my dog died October 29, 1977. Strange.

I wouldn't bet money on my recall of my postal code (I've lived in this place for over 2 years.) I only know a few telephone numbers off by heart. I do remember the address of a house my family rented in Hawaii for a month when I was 10.

Two of my best friends have birthdays this month, one on the 18th and one on the 19th. I can never remember who is first.

people's exact ages, i know the birthday most times but not the year. i have the same thing you do with people dying, i cant remember exactly when.

there would be these times in school when i would forget my locker combo, but remember one i had years and years before, and try that one to no avail, and not like after a long break either, this would be in the middle of the day when i had opened it in the morning or whatnot.

3. I honestly don't remember anything in my life from ages 6 - 14
Yes I am not lying . There are like 8 years of my life I just don't remember . Even I try to think of something that happened around that time , I draw a blank . Everything else in my life I remember . I can recall stuff that happened when I was 4 , even by listening to a song ; I could tell you everything that happened that day , like where I went , what we did , and etc . But from ages 6 - 14 years old , I don't remember anything . I am not making this up .

6. Still remember my 6th grade locker combination.
It'll probably be the last thing I ever forget, even in the event of end-stage Alzheimers. 22-48-12. After 20 years, why does it still take up rent in my head?!?

7. certain family members versions of our family history.
I don't remember a number of those conversations or events taking place. I suspect that they are making me look foolish or that they are trying to recreate history (since I have someone to back me up on a few facts).

8. Bother - I can never remember where my books are
"Pooh looked at his two paws. He knew that one of them was the right, and he knew that when you had decided which one of them was the right, then the other one was the left, but he never could remember how to begin."

"'That's funny,' he thought. 'I know I had a jar of honey ther. A full jar, full of honey right up to the top, and it had HUNNY written on it, so that I should know it was honey.' ...He had murmured this to himself three times in a singing sort of way, when suddenly he remembered. He had put it into the Cunning Trap to catch the Heffalump."

13. I can't remember the dates of my grandparents' deaths.
I can't remember the date I quit smoking or how many years ago that was.

I have trouble remembering what years my children were born.

And, of course, I can't remember what I had for breakfast. ;)
