I know someone who did but got axed by Carli. He loved the original management and hates Carli. Said she used to have body guards when she showed up at the office.

2. Same here; I knew a guy who worked there about 30 years
till Carly. He hated her. Then until about 3 weeks ago he worked there as a full time consultant. Now he is gone as they dumped all consultants a few weeks ago.

6. Who the fuck would LIKE Carly? Apart from other "executive" grade scum?
Animals like her are destroying this country, haven't people figured that out by now?

7. People haven't figured it out. Capitalism is instilled in their
brains as the only good system. They also haven't understood that the old capitalism as it was practiced in this country 30 years ago, where there was loyalty by employers, is gone. The new capitalism is killing this country but making a few people very wealthy.

8. Someone very close to me works for HP
We don't know what is going to happen to him next Tuesday.

He likes Mark Herd but we don't know if his division will get cut. His division is profitable, but... you never know.

9. Profitable doesn't make it anymore as we all know. It has to be
very profitable so Wall Street likes it.

10. Right.
Although he says his chain of command has told him not to worry as much. Although I wonder if his management might be in for a surprise???

12. And it has to be profitable in a certain way
Three years ago, Home Depot was massively profitable and our stock took a dive anyway...because they said the profit we reported said we didn't invest enough back into our business. Specifically, they said our computer systems were old enough to vote. (We were running old HP green-screen dumb terminals connected through twisted-pair to HP 9000 minis.)

They went out and dropped $4 billion into IT initiatives. Now we have nice shiny new Compaq PCs connected to our HP 9000 minis via 100base-T Ethernet. (The Compaqs emulate old HP green-screen dumb terminals.)
