RFLOL!!! A KOOL-AID drinker on Craig's List
He is FINALLY admitting his stupidity!

quote----
Because I'm sure all the other Republicans here probably want to say the same thing, I'm going to do it for all of us.
If all you liberals/Democrats/independents would just start believing what the administration tells you, your lives would be so much easier. Just buy into it. Once you take the leap of faith and believe that GW is righteous and gets divine assistance, you can start thinking about other more important problems in life (F250 or F350). As George Costanza says, "It's not a lie, if you believe it."
You can't imagine how much stress I've avoided by simply not really thinking critically about world events.
I'm sure the other conservatives/Republicans will agree with me and fully expect them to chime in with their similar ideas.
end quote-----

BTW this is NOT sarcasm...he lives in Colorado Springs! The highlighted statement is what we have known all along.

4. Back in the 1970s
There was a religious cult leader named Jimmy Jones. He had his people so brainwashed that he was able to have them commit mass suicide by drinking poisoned kool-aid.

6. A powdered soft drink, like Tang.
The reference is to the mass suicide by Jim Jones' followers. They drank kool-aid laced with every drug they could scrounge.

23. Probably more then you ever wanted to know about Kool Aid...
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 11:56 PM by 1monster
Jim Jones was the leader of a group called the People's Temple. He was nuttier than the preverbal fruit cake, but was apparently a charismatic leader.

As you will read in the second hyperlink, he persuaded over 900 people, including small children, to drink cyanide laced Kool Aid. (Those who refused to drink the were forced to or killed in other ways.) Kool Aid is a soft drink that is sold in a powder form. One must mix it with water and, if not the presweetened type, sugar or other sweetener.

24. Well, that's funny-when I click on a city from the list of cities
all I get is a listing of classifieds, not anything to do with the post you put up.
This is why I asked if you had a link to the original posting.

9. OK, gotcha, suicide-drink .. but
... but I see this Kool-Aid reference everywhere.

Explain this to me like I was a 7-year old ..

.. If I'm a Kool-Aid drinker, I'm .. what .. a cultist?

Someone who believes in anything?

The phrase is a euphemism for buying a load of bullshit from those in power.

14. It means you readily accept whatever the authority tells you to,
even if you know that it's poisoned and will kill you.

Freepers are people who drank the KoolAid - who accept all the lies and bullshit from the reichwing administration, gladly and readily, and ask for more.

To be a Kool-Aid drinker means you have stopped thinking critically, have given your brain over to someone else, and no longer live by your own will.
