Because my ex-wife currently has (temporary) custody of my cats, I'm sharing some photos of them. I miss those guys :cry:

Here's Edgar and Leo. They are twins, the only two cats of their mom's first litter. Edgar is named after Edgar Allan Poe, and Leo is named after Leo Tolstoy.

It's almost like a periscope when he walks by. When he's acting evil (which is most of the time), we used to say that the tail was wagging the cat.

I get to see them again (briefly) tomorrow, when I stop by the house to get my mail. Divorce sucks. Even though there's not kids, it's still a pain in the ass.

I told her she could have everything but I was taking the cats.

We originally got them right after I quit my job and went freelance in 1999. I worked out of the house, and those two would sleep under my desklamp on a washcloth I put on my desk. They were so tiny they fit on it really snugly. It was SO CUTE!

They were raised through 8 weeks by my ex-'s niece, by hand, so they're very people-oriented. They're almost like dogs in that way-- they play fetch, they "bark", they like to have their bellies scratched....just bizarre animals.

Looks like I'll have a small place of my own by Aug 1, so I hope to get them soon. Getting rid of the house is another story, though...

I had to with Mickey when I was working in San Diego and then in LA. I hated it. I was so happy when I moved down here to LA and brought him home.

27. I see them once a week

I usually go to the house on Wednesday for an our, to clean out more of my stuff and hang with the fellas. It's still really tough to go to the house, which I shared with my ex-wife for eight years (and which I've invested a fair amount of sweat equity in, too).

Hopefully, I'll be rid of the house by the end of August, and I'll have a fair amount of equity (around $60k). I'm hoping to buy some new musical gear and travel a bit before I buy a townhome. Due to my medical condition, I'm not really capable of taking care of a house by myself.
