DSM, G8 conference, the bombings in London, terrorism and our governments manipulation of the same, Voter Verified Paper Ballots. It's just I don't have the heart right now. I know I'll be back up to speed soon but my heart is broken right now.

I can't even seem to make myself open those topics. I just can't make them matter to me as they normally do. I just want to cry. Hell, I am crying.

Yeah, a hug would be a start. But mostly I need to cry a bit, be angry a bit, be sad a bit and remember that I mucked with my antidepressants about 2 months ago and that was a bad idea (tm).

I'm having a really big, life isn't fair moment in my life.

5. Yeah, I know

That's one of the precious little surprises about DU. I came here because of hero worship but this wonderful place has become such an amazing, important place for me. There are so many good people here.

I still check up on Will Pitt but he is no longer the reason I'm here. I'm here because of the compassion and the passion and the will to make things better that pervades throughout this wonderful place.

Thank you. I'm actually lucky in that I live in Seattle and will be able to go to the memorial. I wish I had made it to the hospital before he died. I'm kicking myself for that one.

And in a month and a half, I will begin my year in Austin. I'll need to make sure I meet up with all of you fine people. I meant to on my last trip there but life intervened.

They think I've abandoned them in favor of DU. I haven't exactly, but politics does seem to be my overriding focus these days.

the polys are also political. We are fighting for the same things the gays are but in being a persecuted group, we've also turned to each other for our social outlets.
