First snow of the season!!!
The beautiful San Francisco Peaks of northern Arizona, right outside my town, got their first dusting of snow last night and today. As the sun was setting this evening, a pink cloud hovered over the highest peak, Humphrey's, and the snow also reflected the pinkish hue of the sunset. I love this place.

....you should come to MN, we got 6" of snow today, it's lower 20s for temp, and we have single-digit wind chills. X( I hate winter, need to move someplace warm.

Is that the view out of your back door. Man, what a site. I used to travel out west all the time and that was my favorite part of the country to go to. Just for the scenery.

6. almost!
Elden Mountain, on the far right, and just hidden by the trees in that photo, is almost literally across the street from us.

Btw, everyone, I am just sharing my excitement, not trying to play "one-up you with the cold/snow" lol. :-)

7. We got our first snow here a month ago, on the 1st of Oct.
It hasn't snowed since, though, and recently it's been behaving itself, although rather rainy.

I hate snow.

24. Ah..
looks nice - today we had a summer-like day - just without the humidity or strong sun. Felt good, but wrong.. didn't even feel like starting my Christmas plans like I usually do now.

Have to go - night!

27. We had a small, brief dusting of snow
up here in your old stomping grounds over the weekend. Didn't last more than 10-15 minutes. Did't stick to the ground.

It's still pretty damned cold, though.

29. wow!
Pretty unusual for early November.

When I was going to school in Ellensburg, it was 90 on the 1st of October, and it snowed on Halloween. This was in '91, lol.

I remember it snowed on the peninsula for Thanksgiving of '88, where were visiting friends. So, still, for Seattle a dusting in early November is rare!

we're trying to uphold that image so everyone doesn't move here and you go posting a photo like that. What's wrong with you?! Guess you didn't get the memo. Fess up now, that's a photo of Colorado right ;-) .
