| When an Expedition and an 18-wheeler meet, the 18-wheeler will win. |
|
Those damned things aren't as invincible as some SUV drivers would have you believe.

| 4. Listening to local scanner. An Exp. and an 18-wheeler just collided. |
|
Jaws of life have been called out for the occupants of the Expedition. Here's the gossipy part. I just talked to my mom, who works with the fire chief's daughter, and they are saying that a mother was speeding in the Expedition, trying to get her kid to the ballpark on time for a game, when she encountered and 18-wheeler in the other lane. On a country road, with several industries on it.
Sad.

18 wheelers... Never try to fuck with them. They always win!

there is always going to be somebody bigger and stronger than you. Today the Expedition learned that lesson.

| 8. The absoulte safest car is STILL the Volvo Wagon |
|
SUV's are not that safe, they make things more dangerous for the rest of us...and they flip when turned...
I'm sure the 18 wheeler might be safer than the Volvo...but as far as personal vehicles go the Volvo Wagon is the safest....

| 11. LOL...Volvo drivers are the WORST DRIVERS ON THE PLANET. |
|
I have never, in my (relatively short) 7 years of driving, been behind or near a Volvo which wasn't being driven by a total asshat who had no clue how to operate a motor vehicle.
My theory has always been they buy the safest car in the world because they're the worst drivers in the world.

| 12. I thought it was the Volkswagen Vanagon |
|
I distinctly remember the Volvo engineers shaking their heads while noting "Never test against vanagon again"
Something about slicing the volvos like tin cans, maybe the aluminum Volvos are stronger?
