Waters & Gilmour need to get over their spat and get Pink Floyd on tour
I'm rewatching (again) the Pink Floyd set from Live8 and first, it was the absolute best concert in ALL of the Live8 concerts done that day. And second, these 2 guys are sitting on a massive gold mine of money and opportunity by doing one last concert. I've read where these 2 would barely speak to each other backstage at Live 8 and it saddens me to think that even 20 years later these 2 wouldn't find a way to bury the hatchett. But a concert tour would probably easily sell out the largest of stadiums across the globe - I just wish these 2 would consider it one last time!

1. There are some bands...
Where the strain between members is so encompassing that members will not stay in the same hotel and travel seperately. But they still gig.

PF has a chance to tour one last time and, perhaps(if their stated goal of turning profits over to relief is true), make a lot of money for those less fortunate than they(They are a very rich lot).

I would hope that cooler heads would prevail. It all seems very childish to me. That said, most of the pop stars I have known were quite child-like, at the core.

3. I was blown away when they played

I would love to see them get back together and make some music, but I understand why they don't want to. Like any band they became like family and then had a divorce. It would be like asking a man and wife who had a nasty divorce to get back together for the sake of the children. I'm sure they are well aware of how many people would love to see them play together and they know they could make tons of cash, but I guess they have their reasons for not wanting to do that.
Musicians have huge egos and I'm sure that either of them wants to give in to the other. Like I said though, I would love to hear more from them. They were fantastic last Saturday. You never know though...they might kiss and make up.

4. Yes, but they did get togethr for Live 8...
...because they felt that issue was so important that they looked past their differences and did the performance.

I don't think Pink Floyd even needs to do a World Tour. They could do something along the lines of what Cream recently did which was to set up a few concerts and important sites and do one really big show - a finale for Pink Floyd fans around the world.

I know that Gilmour & Waters each mentioned separately that money they've made off of this mini-concert (there has been a major boost in Pink Floyd albums after Live8) would go to African Relief, so they could do the same for these concerts they set up (if they want).

But even in the nastiest of divorce, sometimes those divorced parents need to get together for the sake of the good - ie a child's marriage or graduation, a funeral, etc. I think these 2 could manage it even for just a few concerts (ala Cream). And think of the DVD sales if they released that concert on DVD
