Can someone explain Wilco to me..
Why the frick do they ruin pretty damn decent music with that damn electronic bleeping?

I dont understand it.

3. Which album are you referring to?
Because their last couple of albums contained those beeps, if I remember correctly.

As for why they do it, maybe it's just experimentation. They've already gone from alt-country to power pop to their current phase.

Perhaps I'm not in step with the times, but all of the Wilco I've heard is pretty folksy alt-country stuff.

7. Yeah, this is.. and then there is all kinds of electronic
"beeping" for lack of better term. It just seems so out of friggin place. But then again, I dislike electronic generated sounds.

Maybe this will grow on me.

9. I'm sure it will.
I liked YHF better than A Ghost is Born, although AGIB is still very good.

"Being There" is probably your best bet. It's got a little bit of everything, but no beeping that I can recall.
