Can I brag for a moment? :)
I am just so proud of my SO.

Just a little background. Before I came up here to live with him, he was unemployed, was a musician in a band that was sooo not going to go anywhere. He and his roommate were just a couple of bachelors who didn't care about life, stability, or really anything but doing drugs and hanging out. And I don't mean smoking pot, I hardly consider that a real DRUG lol. I'm talking heavy drugs.
He dropped out of high school his Junior year and got a GED. Which is good.
So anyways, I came up here, and after a few weeks, he decided he better get a job. He went to a local temp agency, and they kind of dicked him around and sent him to a really shitty job, back breaking work. Apparently his mom was "friends" with one of the people in charge there, and she emailed him saying she has sent them sooo many people to send out to jobs and make money off of, the least they can do is give her son a decent job. So, they did.
It's a distribution plant. He was started out driving a fork lift, wrapping pallets, driving a reach truck, loading trucks, all the basic stuff. He worked really hard, and less than a year of working there, they decided to make him a back up lead for two lead positions. :7 A few weeks later he applied for a lead position, and didn't get it- he didn't expect to, but just took a shot at it. Eventually, they taught him how to do the Planner job, which is basically asst. supervisor! Well, they gave the job to someone else, and that dude just screwed up and screwed up. So my SO got the job!
Now: He is the Planner, like I said basically Asst. Supervisor (his bosses words), *and* a lead for two dept.'s. At 22 years old.

He dragged himself back on his feet, worked hard, and I am just so proud of him. Most guys his age that I know personally don't care enough to try to move ahead like that.
