6. lots of cool fluids.......
sometimes I cannot use my a/c, or turn it up cause of the wiring in this place (too much power and the breaker goes)

plus cannot have fans cause Murphee the Tiel is usually out and about causing mischief and mayhem. :)

just think: tomorrow relief. :)

9. I'm hoping they come early to fix it
Of course, the owners of the park HATE us, so it might be quite late in the day.

Sydney has calmed down now that we've left the fan alone. I am dripping already.

21. Don't really have anywhere else to put him
where he's safe from feline interruptions. Damn thing was still blowing, but it wasn't cold. I've opened all of the windows with screens on them, trying to catch the breeze that's outside. I'm not having much luck.

13. When I first moved to St Louis City in 1990, I did not have
AC and what I did was this:

I'd take a bath right before I was ready to lie down and go to sleep
I would NOT dry off...not anywhere
Turn the fan on and go to sleep.

If you have a friend or family member with AC the better alternative is to spend warm nights at their place.

THANKFUL....OH SO THANKFUL that the new building owners put in CENTRAL AIR this year!!!!!

20. St Louis gets very warm and humid
It's horrible. To top it off most of the buildings in the city are brick so in many of them it can get very warm.

18. Been there, done that
Louisiana can be hot, hot, hot, expecially if the ac is out. Hope you have a turbo fan. They are usually around $12 (small) or $24 (larger). Get a spray bottle for each of your family, fill with water, and get in front of the fan. If you can afford it, get a fan for everybody. You'll use them a lot. They move the air around and save on your airconditioning.

22. Unfortunately...the last box fan died a cat induced death
They attacked it until it no longer functioned. Don't have money to get fans, out of work, and just paid $200 to the light company today.

25. Sit in front of a fan, with an ice pack under your ankles...
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 09:11 PM by EC
works every time for me...

on edit: Okay, no fan, but the ice packs under ankles work...(I use those blue packs that are for coolers) I have AC, just refuse to use it, because it makes me sneeze all night...
