it's starts looking like "tinkly", or maybe I'm a bit more pervy than I'd heretofore realized.

18. er... uhmm.... no?
it still looks like blood to me, but for some reason if I try reading all of the "bloods", I pronounce it more like a drawn out "blued" by the last blood.

I noticed the same things with words
when you think about it, they look and sound strange if you think about them...one that always gets me is the word "bed", I have no idea why

21. Catch this review....what is out of place?
Children's Literature
The father bear in this board book counts fingers and toes while bathing his young cub. Body parts are the focus and kids will learn about eyes, noses, tongues, mouth, arms and legs and "one very tickly tum." It is all very sweet and will appeal to very young children. The pictures are bright and the limited number of pages is appropriate for kids with short attention spans. The fact that father bears play no role in raising their young will not be an issue for the intended audience. A companion book is entitled Can I Have a Hug? 2002 (orig. 1998), Orchard, $5.95. Ages 6 mo. to 3. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

Is the requirement for verisimilitude SO strong in our toddler literature that one must make this disclaimer? :eyes:
