On my way from Savannah to VA Beach.

Big-time tourist trap.
Are there still firework stores in South Carolina?

15. Stopped on the way back to Savannah from DC a few years back.

We even spent the night, because why not?

Memorable moment?

Palmetto bug on the breakfast bar. Belly up in the ice.

Which my son, then 11, LOUDLY called attention to...repeatedly.

It not everyday that you get to drive between a man's legs right after sighting a pair of over-sized flamingo, a giant conch and an alligator, all in a parking lot that discriminates against trucks.

5. Didn't even check. Stretched the old legs a bit, bought a few

tacky SOB gifts, took a few pics & got back on the road.

16. The sparkler and fountain type fireworks are legal in GA now

They're even selling them in grocery stores.

Only the explosive types seem to be banned now.

only stopped in there once. How could we not, with a sign every mile telling us about it. Now, I can't even remember what was there.
