Another liberal old enough to vote...
In just two hours, my beautiful daughter will be eighteen years old.

*sigh*

Here she is at age one:

Here she is with my husband and me at age ten:

And here she is in her senior portrait:

She must be making you very proud right now, Left Is Write! And it will only get better from here...usually the teen years are the hardest and the late teens and into the 20's are much easier on everybody...

Congrats on doing such a terrific job!

21. And a very good evening, to you, my dear Maestro!
I have no problem with your curiosity! Yes, I have 2 daughters; one is nearly 39 and the younger one just turned 33...

And as for coolness...hmmm...I can't really judge that! After all, I'm their mother, and I MAY be biased! They have different personalities from me...but they are very nice people.

Does your state have any thing coming up this fall? Like I was bummed as fuck that I couldnt vote but we actually have our governor, lt governor, attorney general, and some ballot intiatives including a ban on gay marriage referendum on ours this fall so I will be doing something.
Anyhow this is how I plan to vote this fall
Tim Kaine- Governor
Leslie Byrne- Lt Governor
Creigh Deeds- Attorney General
NO on banning gay marriage.
Thats all I know about now.

38. Thats the weird thing about us in the Old Dominion
We have our governor's election in odd years and they're allowed only one term, which is why Mark Warner may test the presidential waters or run against George Allen in the senate. The elections this fall here will be very interesting since an indepedent republican who is both pro choice and supports some tax increases is running, the Dem Lt Governor candidate was briefly my congresswoman and her test is being a quite liberal by Virginia standards running state wide against a right wing nut who hates taxes as much as he hates gays I bet, and the gay marriage referendum which I hate to say will pass with I say around 70% of the vote.

She's never been an activist, though she spoke up in school pretty often during the presidential campaign. She told me stories of giving her opinion (against the general tide) in her government and history classes, and she made sure to watch all of the debates so that she'd be able to discuss them with her friends.
