Deval Patrick shook my hand
This weekend was Pride Day in Boston, and Mrs. Squeech and I went downtown to watch the parade. Deval Patrick, candidate for governor, marched, and was pressing the flesh. I just said, "Good luck, man!" Then one of his volunteers took care to inform us that his most prominent opponent in the primary, Attorney General Tom Reilly, wasn't there. (I don't want him as governor simply because I think he's way too valuable where he is, doing the incredibly important work of exposing corporate criminals.)

Mayor Tom "Mumbles" Menino was marching, but we missed him. We did see one of his announced opponents, Maura Hennigan, but she wasn't marching, she was being driven around in a car, and she didn't look like she was at all pleased to be there. I was unimpressed.

The other politicos we saw were Boston city counselor Felix Arroyo and state senator Jarrett Barrios.

1. Cool :). After listening to him speak at the state convention in Lowell
I was VERY impressed. He's at the top of my list of the three dem. candidates.
