12. I saw the original stage show
Edited on Thu Oct-30-03 04:13 PM by qwertyMike
TWICE in London 1973 or 74 I think.

First time it was a fringe thing in a converted cinema in Chelsea. Tim Curry was the star!!!!!!!!

Never seen the movie.

3. LOVE IT!
Two snaps WAY up! I started going when I was 14...with my MOM! She had the hots for Tim Currey in his underwear. She got to the point where she'd sleep through the film except for his big songs. (we had to drive from Centerville, IN to Dayton, OH to see it.)

17. You watched Rocky Horror at Neon?!
I went just about every Saturday my senior year in HS (1993).

From what I heard, a couple of years later there was a schism between the regular cast and the venue. Damn shame, as the Dayton RHPS was the best I've ever been to.

21. Is that the Porno theater?
I know it was one of the longest running showings of the film, but I can't remember if it was the Neon.

I have great memories of the place, sticky floors and all. We used to have rice fights before the film started. It's also the first place I ever got offered weed.

Seen it well over 100 times, and still enjoy it. Also, the sequel, "Shock Treatment".. Richard O'Brian is one of the great under-rated filmmakers, IMHO.

Tim Curry is HOT! It's best viewed in a theater w/fan interaction.

it's time to do the Time Warp again.

27. LOVE it!
The musical was just in town, and my mom called me up and asked me to take her! It was a little shocking, but I happily obliged. I haven't seen the movie in a while, though. It's probably about time for another trip to the Saturday late-night picture show.

I have a slightly deviant mind and love musicals. Never got to to see it on the big screen though. I chock it up to one of a thousand things I'll do in my next life.

29. Hated it when I first saw it
Loved it thereafter.

Meatloaf's my favorite dude in it, though - maybe because I like motorsickles, leather, and - hot patootie, bless my soul - I really love that rock 'n' roll. Love that song, too.

The first time that I experienced the whole audience-participation thing I was peeved because I was near particularly overzealous and obnoxious participants (I can't remember if I was warned to expect the participation..if I wasn't, that would exactly have helped). I felt like decking one who threw what seemed like a bag of rice at me. I'm just happy that I never developed a pathological hatred of transvestites courtesy of that mad ricer.

It is really stupid, but also good, in a bad-good kinda good way. I think.
