Lily the cat at work (some sad news, a bit of good news)
some sad news - Lily abandoned her kittens, and lily is not doing well - don't know what the problem is.

I'm bringing a cat carrier to work tomorrow and then try to find someone to take her/look at her pro-bono.

Her kittens are fine - I ran down to the store this morning and bought some milk for newborn kittens, and newborn kitten bottles. Have been feeding the kittens all day. The good news is that a woman I work with volunteered to take them home and care for them. She left work this evening with 4 kittens and enough milk for a couple of weeks. Anyone know how you nominate someone for sainthood - this woman is a saint.

Meanwhile, the other cat - Simone had her kittens, but they are well hidden, we couldn't find them and Simone ain't talking.

so here are 3-day kitten pics from Lily's litter...

2. Cats are temperamental people
I don't know why some cat mommies abandon their litters but it happens more times than we'd like to admit. It is a combination of stress, their own health, the litter's health, methinks. So sad.

4. other corner of the state
near Wilkes-Barre

the big problem is trying find someone to take a look at Lily and then find a place for her

I can't have any more critters at my place - this ark is full with 4 cats and 3 dogs of our own - plus a foster greyhound

I have another Sphynx coming (I'm adopting him from a rescue), and I already have 2 cats, a dog, a parrot, and saltwater fish. Not to mention I have a 2 & 4 yr old with another due in August.
