Post a pic of you being a political activist.
Do you have a pic of yourself at a protest? A rally for a Dem candidate? Doing volunteer work for a progressive cause? Post it here!

Here I am going door to door for a good Democratic candidate in Illinois.

Its not my most flattering picture, but the ones of me at peace rallies aren't online.

Me and "Granny D" Haddock.

You can see the rest of my pictures of the protest here:

There are even a few audio reports on that page. Enjoy.

11. Granny D is a great American.
Granny D is one of the kindest, loving people I have ever met. When you meet Granny D, you are talking to a saint.

I wish I could adequately describe the the energy I felt radiating from her when that picture was taken. It was like standing next to a Indy 500 race-car with it's engine revving up.

An amazing woman.

13. Many of us don't have our activism pics online....
...my last real involvement was with Carter in California, pushing my two young boys around in a stroller, which was a great foot-in-the-door tactic :) Wish I had a picture of that to share.

Welcome to DU :hi:

20. How well did that go over down there?
My yard signs were stolen once. The next day I put up a new one and it was vandalized. My Peace is Patriotic was also vandalized.
Nothing against a puke went over well here.

21. Actually, several people honked and waved as I was putting it all up.
I didn't have any problems. The only liberal symbol I've ever had vandalized was a CHOICE sticker on my car. Someone keyed my car, and the sticker.

26. I don't have a single picture online of me protesting.
I have a few stills of me at various picket lines and actions that I've never scanned, but I can't find a single one online. Sorry!

If I had any I'd post them.

Laura
